Autism Speaks and Jet Blue are hosting an event to practice boarding and being on an airplane.
"Check in will begin at 11:30AM. Attendees will check in at the ticket counter, move through TSA security and wait at the gate to board the plane, just as they would do on an actual trip to the airport. Pilots and flight attendants will simulate the true on board experience and attendees will deplane by 1:30PM. Autism Speaks has hosted these events across the country over the past few years and the response has been overwhelmingly positive – the experience has opened the door to air travel for many of our families who may not have thought it possible. Last year’s event at MCO was a huge success!"
